- OFFICIAL RULES -
General Rules:

To participate, entrants must complete the Survival Fest 2026 Blaster Bash Entrant Form
-
Participants will then receive a role in the Survival Fest Discord Server allowing them to post updates and images of their in-progress and completed builds in the Blaster Bash Discord Forum.

To be eligible for the "Fresh Foam Flinger" Award (see below), participants will be required to post a picture in the Blaster Bash Forum of the start of their build with a clearly visible piece of paper with the date and "Survival Fest Blaster Bash 2026" written on it.

Posts in the Blaster Bash Discord Forum should be tagged in all applicable award categories.

Participants will bring their blaster to the Survival Fest Community Expo 2026 to be judged in person and displayed for Survival Fest attendees.

Judges will choose one Blaster as a winner in each of the 6 categories below.

All blasters will be judged in every applicable category.

Limit of 1 blaster entry per participant.
Blaster Rules:

Aesthetics
-
Overly realistic or excessively dark blasters are prohibited. Adhere to the HvZ guidelines for safe blasters to bring to the event.

FPS
-
A blaster displayed in the Bash must fire below the HvZ FPS cap. (120 average with 130 hard limit)

Exceptions can be made under special cases. Please reach out to the mod team if you have a blaster that cannot fire below the FPS cap.

Blasters with this exception will only be allowed to be fired under specific circumstances.

Operation Mechanisms
-
All common firing methods in a blaster are allowed with limitations.
-
HPA tanks cannot be brought to the event, so any HPA blasters will not be allowed to fire.

LPA blasters must either have their pumps disabled or adhere to the HvZ ruleset.

For uncommon firing mechanisms, please reach out to the Blaster Bash Team via the Discord to have the firing mechanism reviewed for safety and validity.

- JUDGING -
Exhibition (Mandatory)
-
Participants will be required to exhibit their blaster in the Blaster Bash for judges to go and view.

Participants may be present for this, but it is not required.

Participants must provide a short writeup/poster to accompany their blaster for when they are not present.
-
Information for the writeup/poster should include features, build progress photos, the story of the blaster, etc.

Participants will have a “marker” of some sort to denote what degree of handling the builder is okay with for their blaster.

I.e. Sign at table, specialized zip tie, etc.

Additionally, visitors to Blaster Bash will vote for their favorite blaster after visiting for the “Crowd Choice” award category
Competitive Presentation (Optional)
-
Participants will be given the opportunity to sign up for a slot to show off their build in the Precision Target Tournament.

Judges will be present and may assign additional points to a participants blaster as they see fit.

This category requires an initial post in the Blaster Bash Discord forum with the date and "Survival Fest Blaster Bash 2026" written and clearly visible.

Blasters will be considered for 3D printing innovation, printability, structural qualities, print quality, multicolor work, filament colors and more.
